3D day 3

Day 3 of 3D started off with a presentation by the tutors about the 3D pathway and what type of areas are covered if we take the pathway. After this we was asked to design 3D bridges in our sketch books using paper. After doing these small samples we was put in to groups of 7 to join our ideas together to then make a large bridge together so that a remote controlled car would be able to drive through the bridge without breaking. In addition to this the bridge had to be high enough so that a boat was able to flow pass underneath as well and that only 2 points could touch the ground of the bridge. This was the most challenging task yet but was interesting how our bridge produced at the end.
I am pleased to say that the remote control car just about passed through the bridge, however, we had created a small round a bout at the end and so the car did fall off and was not stable enough to stop the car from falling but was stable enough to hold the car. I think in terms of time management if we had more time we could have been able to improve our bridge by making a stronger end to allow the car to go straight and not sideways.  I felt that we all worked well together as a team and tried to build our bridge as stable as possible and that our ideas all linked in well with each other and got straight into building it as soon as we got together. If we was to build this another time round I think that we could have discussed our ideas a bit more into detail and planned it out well instead of planning and working on it at the same time.
